Besa Global’s newest publication offers practical insights for integrating social norms into anti-corruption and accountability strategies. The Learning Series brings years of research and field experience to bear on persistent, complex challenges, framed as Do’s and Don’ts for a practitioner audience.

Corruption is often treated as a matter of individual wrongdoing, but in many contexts, it is reinforced by collective expectations and systemic failure.  The Learning Series explores how social norms drive corrupt behavior — especially in settings of endemic corruption — and how these forces can be addressed in programming. Each chapter offers practitioners concrete tools and insights for designing more effective, sustainable interventions. Drawing on years of research and practice, this new series moves beyond traditional approaches to help implementers engage with the deeper drivers of corruption. Read the first chapters and explore the series here.
