A collaborative presentation at the local Democracy Academy hosted by the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy
Corruption Justice and Legitimacy Program (CJL)’s co-director, Diana Chigas along with our collaborators from CARE Netherlands, CARE International Switzerland in Sudan, CARE Rwanda, CARE Burundi, and The Hague Academy for Local Governance (THA) gave a presentation at the Local Democracy Academy hosted by Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy in December, 2020.
The presentation summarized the lessons from our collaborative learning effort which explored how to engage with local authorities to address social norms that may drive problematic behavior related to transparency and accountability – especially information sharing and accountability by local authorities needed for meaningful inclusion of and responsiveness to marginalized groups in communities.
This was a great experience for the CJL team to work with our collaborators and get some incredible feedback from the Local Democracy Academy. Stay tuned and subscribe to get notified about a detailed policy analysis setting out our thoughts and findings from this collaboration.
