Besa Global convenes experts in a two-hour interactive webinar to examine the impact of gender norms on corruption.
On 17 November 2025, Besa Global hosted the interactive webinar Corruption Has a Gender: How Norms Shape Who Pays, Who Benefits, and Who Resists, bringing together leading experts to explore how gender norms influence engagement with, resistance to, and experiences of corruption. The session examined how these dynamics affect the success of anti-corruption interventions and highlighted practical strategies for integrating gender-sensitive approaches into programming.
Drawing on research from African and Asia-Pacific countries, participants discussed methods for assessing the role of gender in corruption and applied insights through interactive breakout discussions. The webinar was designed for practitioners, policy analysts, and anyone interested in advancing gender-aware anti-corruption work. French-language simultaneous interpretation was provided.
