Besa Global contributed expertise on conflict, gender norms, and judicial integrity at the eleventh session of the UN Conference of the States Parties (CoSP11) in Qatar.

In December 2025, Besa Global participated in the eleventh session of the Conference of the States Parties (CoSP11) to the UN Convention against Corruption in Qatar. Besa Global co-organized two panels at the event, contributing to discussions on crime and corruption across the conflict cycle and on how social and gender norms shape corrupt behavior.

Executive Director Cheyanne Scharbatke-Church spoke on the panel on crime and corruption across the conflict cycle, alongside Transparency International Defence & Security, UNDP, and the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime, with support from the governments of Colombia, Iraq, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. She also contributed to a panel exploring approaches for strengthening judicial integrity in diverse regional contexts.

CJL Co-Director Diana Chigas joined the panel on social and gender norms, co-organized by UNODC, OECD, and WAVE Foundation and supported by the governments of Canada, Germany, Nigeria, and South Africa, where she shared strategies for integrating gender-responsive approaches into anti-corruption work.

The panels provided a forum for global experts to exchange insights and practical strategies, helping strengthen justice systems, enhance anti-corruption programming, and promote gender-sensitive interventions in fragile and conflict-affected settings.

Besa Global is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with partners, share perspectives from our work, and learn from others engaged in this important global conversation.
